A Knot In Thyme

is a working horticultural farm on North Whidbey Island seeking to provide a memorable family experience to those who visit.

Holly season for the Rawls family began in 2006 when they purchased the farm.  They immediately began to act on their vision of better things to come.  Their work has certainly paid off!  The farm is now a wonderful destination full of surprises around every corner.  During the summer, we offer free Draft Horse wagon rides every Saturday that will give you a tour of the farm.  On this tour you will see our many gardens as well as the acres and acres of holly that have been growing on this farm for the past 80 years!  Our delight is to watch as people peacefully stroll through our gardens observing the detailed flowers and luscious vegetables.  Our many gardens include:  The Quilted Garden, The Miniature Garden, The Lavender Display Garden, The Vertical Garden, and our new Rose Garden.  There is a lot to see but it is certainly worth the time to take a relaxing walk. For more information about the gardens, visit www.akitverticalgarden.blogspot.com.

During the holidays we seek to offer an experience you'll never forget!  Bring your family on the wagon ride to choose your freshly cut Christmas Tree and beautifully crafted Holly Wreath.  Along the way you might even hear carolers!  When your tour is finished, visit our gift shop for some hot cider and Holiday shopping.
