About A Knot In Thyme~Holly Farm and Lavender Gardens

Whether you are looking for Holly wreaths and Christmas trees for the Holiday Season, unique gifts, such as candles, lavender products, and handmade soap, or want to go dashing through the snow, A Knot In Thyme is the place for you!

Jack and Wendy Rawls purchased the farm in 2005. In November of 2006, they re-opened the gift shop, offering unique natural gifts in addition to Holly holly wreaths made right on the farm from holly grown in the orchard.

Christmas 2007 saw the beginning of draft horse wagon rides. The big, black Percherons pulled a wagon on a tour of the farm. They continue to give rides on weekends each Summer and between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The ride is free!

In 2008, the Rawls family and A Knot In Thyme employees built the Quilted Garden. Based on French Parterres, the quilted garden is made of  flowers, vegetables and herbs laid out in patterns. One side features warm colors and the other displays cool colors.

In 2009, the Quilted Garden area was expanded to include a Lavender Species display garden in a courtyard and the one-of-a-kind Vertical Garden. This garden consists of two adjacent walls six feet tall and ten feet wide by one foot thick. It is a wall of soil contained in a metal mesh, planted with everything from miniature strawberries to petunias. Today, A Knot In Thyme is a year-round destination. It offers gifts and gardens in the Summer and a whole Christmas experience during the holidays.
